What you will do - Essential responsibilities

• To ensure the safety and satisfaction of CarMaxs customers, Auto Repair Specialists are tasked with examining, refurbishing, and repairing vehicles
• Functioning as a joint unit to expediently troubleshoot technical difficulties
• Develop expertise in repairing various models of foreign and American-made automobiles to enhance your mechanic career
• Uphold our exacting standards of safety, cleanliness, and orderliness to maintain an impeccable environment

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Applicants must be well-versed in the maintenance and repair of engines, steering and suspension, brakes, and heating and air conditioning systems
• Knowing health and safety regulations is critical for preventing lawsuits resulting from workplace hazards
• Skillful handling of objects and maintaining physical endurance, transport weighty items, and sustain the ability to walk and stand for lengthy periods
• Excelling at being productive amidst a flurry of activities in a dynamic work environment
• Possessing a robust skill set in communication and a sharp eye for detail can put you ahead of the curve
• Having a legal permit to operate a vehicle
• As mandated by State or Local regulations, having ASE Certifications in Steering and Suspension (A4), Brakes (A5), Heating Air Conditioning (A7), Electrical (A6), Engine Repair (A1), Manual Drive Train and Axles (A3), Engine Performance (A8), and Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A2) is required
